Warriors Omen of the Stars #6: The Last Hope by Erin Hunter
Warriors Omen of the Stars #6: The Last Hope by Erin Hunter
Diary of a Wimpy Kid : Greg Heffley’s journal by Jeff Kinney
The Anniversary Legends Series #1: Race at the Rock by Michael Panckridge
An awesome sports series from Michael Panckridge, the books follow a competition-crazed school called Sandhurst. The main rivalry is Mitchell against Travis. Each book centres around a different sport and I would recommend it to anyone who is sport frenzied. 4 stars.

Here are some of the great books the Johnsonville BookBusters have been reading in the last month.
Noah has been reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It tells the story of Greg’s first year in high school and Noah loves the part where they play a trick on Greg, saying if your hand is bigger than your face then that is a sign of low intelligence.
Adian has been reading a book about Disasters. It includes all types of disasters from train and boat wrecks through to natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes and storms. He really enjoyed reading all about the Titanic disaster.
Satine as been reading Hannah Montana – Face Off. She really loves this book and it is the second time she has read it. She loves the bit about Hannah not wanting to go to camp because she has a big pimple on her face.
Snigdha has been reading Matilda. Snigdha really enjoys Roald Dahl and Matilda is one of her favourites. She has read this story twice. Matilda is a genius – when she was 1 ½ she could talk like us and when she was 3 she could read the newspapers but her parents thought she was an idiot.
Navneet has been reading Meet the Humansons which is from the Freak Street series. This book is about a family who are very dumb – they think the police are hairdressers. The come across a zoo who are giving away their animals. They think the zoo is a pet store so they decide to take a killer whale home as a pet.
At the May meeting Karori BookBusters had read HEAPS of books! Here are some of the ones we liked…
Sophie is reading a Geronimo Stilton book called Run for the hills, Geronimo! Amy L has also read this book and thought it was good.
Khushi has been reading princess and fairy books at school and recently read Ruby the red fairy by Daisy Meadows.
Amy read a Babymouse comic called The musical by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm. She liked that the narrator keeps popping in at the worst of times! Babymouse is trying out for the musical and gets the part of the understudy. Three and three quarter stars!
Emily has read the Neverending story by Michael Ende which is about a boy who really likes reading and starts reading a book about a land which is in danger, but then he finds out that he is part of the book. She has also been reading Garfield comics.
Henry has read some of the Hardy Boys books by Franklin W Dixon and gives them five out of five stars.
Emily has been reading the puppy books by Holly Webb.
The next Karori BookBusters meeting is on June 5th at 4pm. Come along!

It shows you what olden days bording schools would be like and it’s a nice mix between magic and what a real school a long time ago would be like.
