Are you looking for something to do after school?  Then come along and have some fun by creating and completing Lego challenges.

Tawa Library have their event on Thursday 9th August  at 3.30pm – 4.30pm.

Johnsonville Library have their event on Friday 10th August at 3.30pm – 4.30pm.

This month our movie is about a very gifted young girl who lives with her uncaring parents and attends a school with a terrifying and evil principal.  But things begin to change for the better when she discovers she has the power of telekinesis.

This film is rated PG

This months movie tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of Auggie, a very special 10 year old boy who lives in New York and is about to enter fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

This film is rated PG

Stories @ Six at Tawa Library

Join us on Thursday 7th June at 6pm for our next Stories @ Six session at Tawa Library.

This month come and listen to some heart-warming stories about “Family” by Tawa local Tracey Bennet.

Wear your PJ’s and bring along your teddies!!!

Tawa Library is open until 8pm on Thursday so plenty of time to issue books afterwards.

This is a free event suitable for all the family to enjoy with sessions running for around 30 minutes. 

 

Let’s Go LEGO Schedule Update

This is just a very quick update to let you know that from the 2nd of June, Let’s Go LEGO at Karori Library will be held half an hour earlier from 2:00-3:00pm. Previously it was held from 2:30-3:30pm. We hope that this change means that you’ll all have more time to chat and browse the library for books to take home following each session!

 

Here’s the updated Let’s Go LEGO schedule:

Cummings Park (Ngaio) Library: First Thursday of the month, 3:30-4:30pm

Khandallah Library: First Friday of the month, 3:30-4:30pm

Karori Library: First Saturday of the month, 2:00-3:00pm

Mervyn Kemp (Tawa) Library: Second Thursday of the month, 3:30-4:30pm

Johnsonville Library: Second Friday of the month, 3:30-4:30pm

Stories @ Six at Tawa Library

Come along to Tawa Library on Thursday 3 May at 6pm to hear the lovely Ria Edmonds present a storytime full of stories written by Julia Donaldson.

Author Julia Donaldson has written many beloved stories including Room on a broom, Tabby McTat and of course the wonderful Gruffalo series.

Stories @ Six will be held in the children’s area of the library and we look forward to seeing you there.

Let’s Go Lego is coming to Khandallah!

More exciting news in the world of Let’s Go Lego — the programme is finally coming back to Khandallah Library! The first session will be on Friday the 4th of May at 3:30pm, and sessions will continue on the first Friday of every month thereafter. No need to book, and it’s totally free — just turn up on the day and have fun!

Since our last official update, the programme has also expanded to include Johnsonville Library. The full Let’s Go Lego timetable (for the moment!) is laid out below:
