Storylines Family Festival Day

The annual Storylines Family Festival Day is on soon!

The Wellington Free Family Day gives children (and adults!) a chance to meet their literary heroes – authors, illustrators, storytellers or book characters.

Wellington Libraries will have a stall there (come grab some freebies from us), and Stuart Pedley (one of our star librarians) will be reading stories at 11am and 1pm. Come and visit us and say HI!

Sunday August 19 2012 between 10am-3pm at the Michael Fowler Centre.

Are there monsters lurking in the Central Library…?

Gruffalo Small

Yes! But they are not nearly as scary as you might think. One of them is coming out of hiding to meet you…

The Gruffalo, from Julia Donaldson’s popular picture book series, will be making a visit to the Wellington Central Library on Friday 13th at 10.30am for storytime. Come along to shake the monster’s hand and listen to some Gruffalo stories.

Can’t get enough of The Gruffalo? Is you favourite food roasted fox, owl ice cream, scrambled snake or gruffalo crumble?  Did you know you can go see the Gruffalo live onstage? Join Mouse on an adventurous journey through the deep, dark wood in this big scary monster of a show. Don’t miss out!
