Karori BS Sept meeting 002

This month we were spies deciphering coded messages which Susannah had brought with her on a visit from Tawa Library.  We also had mystery items to take home with us. Each item had been wrapped up and had a short sentence about it on the outside with its barcode. It was great to choose something when you didn’t know what it might be. We also took some great photos of the whole crew. Here you see pictures of our group, us working out our codes and us choosing our books – it’s a real rush to get to the trolley before everyone else takes all the good books!

Can I beat the others to the good books!

Karori BookSeekers

We had a fantastic meeting this month. We looked at horror stories and shared some of our favourite scary stories. We also had fun writing our own spooky poems about ghosts and vampires.

Our theme for next month is an exciting one chosen by the BookSeekers – adventure stories! So make sure you get reviewing. We can’t wait to hear about all the cool books you’ve been reading!
