Author and illustrator Nick Sharratt will be visiting Wellington in December and will be appearing at the Kilbirnie Children’s Bookshop to meet his fans and sign books.
Fans of Jacqueline Wilson’s books will know his art – he’s the illustrator behind her awesome book covers. He has also written and illustrated many of his own books. Here are just a few:

Olivia Saves the Circus by Ian Falconer
This is a story about Olivia the pig. She tells a lie to her class for show and tell. She says she went to the circus Madame Olivia and her troup of trained dogs, Olivia the Trapeze Artist, and Olivia, queen of the tramploline. After school, Olivia gets home and jumps on her bed. Her mum says” Who do you think you are, queen of trampolines?” Olivia smiled and said” Maybe”. I rate this book 5 stars out of 5.
It’s called Slightly Invisible and is due to be published in October. It will feature Charlie and Lola (and Soren Lorenson) and I’m just a tincey wincey bit excited about it.
