Seaweek 2018 has begun! Running from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 11th March Kaupapa Moana is a dedicated time to celebrate our wonderful seas and learn more about our waterways, oceans and sea habitats. It’s also a perfect time to gather your friends and family and head out to the beach or to one of the many Seaweek events being held in your region. There is so much going on you’ll be spoilt for choice! This year the theme for Seaweek is “Toiora te Moana – Toiora te Tangata – Healthy Seas, Healthy People”. Let’s all make it our mission to learn a bit about how we can help keep our seas healthy and sustainable. The library has some helpful books all about New Zealand sea and marine life.
