We started off the session with a story called: The book that eats people by John Perry. Our BookBusters really enjoyed it and thought the author was very imaginative. After welcoming three new BookBusters Boudewijn, Rosa and Oliver, we shared our book reviews. Our theme for this meeting was fantasy and the team did a great job brainstorming heaps of brilliant ideas about what makes a good fantasy book. Special congratulations to Andrew for attending his 12th session, and to Sarah for attending 6. Well done! We ended the meeting with a quick look at some of the finalists of the NZ Post Children’s Book Awards – next month we will talk about these fantastic books and vote for our favourites. We look forward to seeing you again in April.
