What is Waikikamukau?

Is there even a word like Waikikamukau? Yup there is!  You’d be surprised where it’s used…New Zealand! It is jokingly pronounced as “Why kick a moo cow?” (a kids blog reader has pointed out that the real pronounciation is Wai(Why) Ki(Key) Ka(Car) Mu(Moo) Kau(Ko): Why-Key-Car-Moo-Ko) and is an expression here in New Zealand to refer to a particularly remote rural town.

Here’s a very odd one, in the 19th century a French mime artist accidentally got stuck in his imaginary glass box and starved to death! Hmmmm something to think about…

I don’t get the French mime artist one. No one is probably going to see this (except for me when I write it and check back to see if anyone DOES see it) but if you do please explain.
