I love reading stories about animals and this one is great. Beside the wonderful story this book is full of beautiful illustrations on just about every page. I certainly wish I had the talent to draw like that.
Anyway the story is about a little mouse called Celeste who lives under the floorboards of the dinning room and spends her day weaving baskets. One day she is thrust into the world above where she encounters everything from a dangerous hungry cat to Cornelius a singing thrush.
In her search for a new home Celeste meets Joseph a young apprentice and discovers that home is really the place deep inside your heart, where friendships live.
After reading A Nest for Celeste you will want a friend just like her.
