Kym, Children and Youth Services and list-making Specialist, has an interest in books about vampires and werewolves. Here’s her Top 10 young adult fiction titles about people who like biting other people:
- Sunshine by Robin McKinley
- Blood and chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
- Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
- Companions of the night by Vivian Vande Velde
- Thirsty by M. T. Anderson
- The Dark-angel by Meredith Ann Pierce
- Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
- Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith
- In the forests of the night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
- Skin hunger by Kathleen Duey
Kym also recommends Sweetblood by Pete Hautman (but we don’t have that one), and I thought I’d also add the daddy of all vampire books:
Dracula by Bram Stoker; a bit of a no-brainer, but then, you know, if you’re going to be a student of biters you should probably read this one too.
There you go. Mwah-ha-ha and all that,
Grimm

Twilight should not be in the top 10. Twilight was alright but I have read many a better vampire book. For example, The Night World series by L.J. Smith number 9 in particula. They are good. Thank you for your time.
