Home Delivery
If you prefer to have your reserved items delivered to you at your home address, you can use our home delivery service.

- Anyone can request the home delivery service.
- If you want an item from Wellington City Libraries' collection, you will need to become a member. Check our joining pages for details.

What:

Any item in Wellington City Libraries' collection which is available for loan. Check our catalogue here.
|
|
How:
|
You can request the home delivery when -
- Placing a reserve using our online catalogues
- Calling your local library
- Filling out a request form at your library
|
|
Arrival Time:
|
- 2 working days (weekdays) if item is available at Central Library.
- If the item must be sourced from another Wellington City branch library: 3 working days (weekdays)

Loan Period:
|
- Books: 3 weeks
- Magazines, CDs, DVDs, bestseller books: 1 week
- Check our Borrowing page for further details.
- NB. The loan period begins when the item is issued at Central Library, before it is sent to you.

Return of Items:
|
- The return of library items to Central Library is the responsibility of the borrower
- Items will come with an issue slip giving the date due
- Normal overdue charges apply.
- A $1 charge per item will be incurred when items are returned to a branch other than Central Library.

Charges:
|
- $5 Delivery within the Wellington region (the pink areas in this map).
- $10 Per courier bag rest of New Zealand.
- Extra charges as applicable ($2 reservation fee, $2 extra per item if you are a rental borrower, related rental fee).
- Please contact the ProSearch team if you want an urgent delivery to find out related charges.

Payment:

These charges will be placed on your library card and will need to be paid the next time you visit a library. .
