The plot of Pet revolves around twelve-year-old Justine, who is infatuated by her mesmerizing and charming new teacher, so much so that she wants to be the teacher’s pet. The story becomes one of power corruption and lies, with many unexpected twists and turns, making it a truly riveting read. Pet is a sophisticated and disquieting psychological thriller from one of our most acclaimed and popular authors, and it continues to strengthen Catherine Chidgey’s position as one of our foremost world class writers.
