Time marker: Summary:
00'00" Extra staff were employed during the Easter and Christmas. A special Christmas display would be placed in the front window every year which always attracted attention.
01'40" A description of Thornton's famous Victorian-era slot-machine.
06'06" Charles Thornton decides to close the business and retire at the end of 1948. A moving description of elderly customers who could have visited the shop as children in the 1880's, weeping when they heard that the business was to close.
