It’s Back!
The Great Teddy Bear Sleepover returns to Tawa Library on Thursday 6 July at 6pm.
Bring your teddies for a fun half hour of stories and songs then hug them goodnight and leave them in the library to have a magical sleepover with their new teddy friends.
Come back on Friday to collect your teddy and see from their picture sheet what they got up to during the sleepover.
(Sorry – only stuffed participants can stay the night…)
School is almost finished and Christmas is just about here. Its time to think of all that Christmas stuff you need to do before the man in the big red suit arrives.
First of all, have you sent your Christmas letter to Santa? I’m sure you have plenty of things on your wish list.
Next you have to think about what gifts you can make for your family and friends.
Don’t forget that you can do some Christmas baking. Everyone loves baking! I think the Not-so Frosty the Snowman would be a big hit!
After that you could spend some time playing fun Christmas games.
And last but not least make sure you come along to The 12 Storytimes of Christmas at your local library.
Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas storytime is coming to town!!!
Hitch up your reindeer and come on down to Johnsonville Library on Friday 16th December at 6.30pm for our extra special late night Christmas Storytime.
Whether you have been naughty or nice come along and enjoy some Christmas stories, festive songs and some fun Christmas games
Come dressed up in your favourite Christmas costume, or maybe you have some special Christmas pyjama’s that you like to wear.
Either way you will have some merry, merry fun at this free family event.
You and your teddy are invited to a very special late night story-time on Thursday 7th July at 6pm at Tawa Library.
Your teddies will have the opportunity to have a sleep over right here in the library! (Sorry, no children can sleep over – teddies only).
Then on Saturday come back and collect your teddy and discover what adventures he had during his night in the library.
Come in your pyjamas or dress-up like a bear and be ready for lots of stories and fun! Don’t forget to bring your teddy!
Teddy Bears had more fun than a picnic when they got to have a sleepover at the Johnsonville Library last Friday night.
Parents of the teddy bears enjoyed a fun night of teddy bear adventures and then left their teddies to enjoy a night on their own in the library.
As you can see from the photos our teddy bears got up to lots of mischief and mayhem. Playing with the lego blocks, reading books, parachute jumping and oh no – playing with the photocopier.
Make sure you keep an eye on your own teddy bear – you never know what they get up to!

Come along to hear fun stories about wonderful gifts and exciting presents. Don’t forget to come along in your pyjamas.

Its all about Food, Glorious, Food at this months storytime.

It’s Conservation week – and to help us celebrate our storytime theme this month is about saving our environment and helping to protect our native plants and animals.
Come along for some fun stories and games to Johnsonville Library on Friday 6th November at 6.30pm.
Wear your pyjamas or better still dress up as your favourite animal.
This is a free event for 4 – 10 year olds.

Come along to hear some fun stories and try your hand at some interesting puzzles at Tawa Library on Thursday 5th November at 6.30pm.
Make it special by coming along dressed in your pyjamas or even better as your favourite animal.
