Kids’ Club Review by Isobel: The ersatz elevator

The ersatz elevator / Snicket, Lemony

I rated this book four stars because it was BRILLIANT because i learnt a ton of new words like ersatz and wretched. but the tv series was very boring. I liked the how Lemony Snicket wrote it so when they got caught in the net at the bottom of the elevator I felt sad but when Sunny climbed up the side I felt hopeful.

Kids’ Club Review by olivia: Sisters

Sisters / Telgemeier, Raina

To tell you the truth I am not really a big fan of autobiographies. But that all changed when I read sisters. Its a autobiography but in graphic novel form! Enjoy reading about Raina and her life growing up with her sister Amara and brother Will.

Kids’ Club Review by Harshit: Snapdragon

Snapdragon / Leyh, Kat

It’s about a girl called Snapdragon from the title who learned how to cast spells from Jacks by going to see and take care of his possums every morning because she wanted to become a witch. It was a bit funny when she had one pet dog named good boy and then in the end she had three pet dogs.

Kids’ Club Review by Mastani: Snapdragon

Snapdragon / Leyh, Kat

I think Snapdragon is a really inspiring book, I read it many, many, many times! I find Snapdragon’s family backstory connected with a witch very interesting. I also love how the story is very realistic, likely to happen, but with magic it feels like Snapdragon is very special.
