Kids’ Club Review by Meredith: Race to the end of the world

Race to the end of the worldRace to the end of the world, A.L. Tait

I thought this was an excellent book because it is full of adventures, a little bit of mystery and fantasy. The main character is a boy called Quinn who is accepted into a special school where they are training to be scribes for explorers. The explorers need scribes so they can make their maps. The reason they need these maps is because the king has made a competition. The first person who can come back after mapping the world will win. Can Quinn become a scribe? Won’t he just fall off the end of the world? It is flat, after all…
I think this book is suitable for 8+ because it has some fighting scenes which younger kids might find scary. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
