Kids’ Club Review by Harshit Kumar: The slippery slope

The slippery slope / Snicket, Lemony

I rated this book 5 stars because it tells that the Baudelaires are separated in the Mortmain Mountains. Violet and Klaus managed to survive by making a drag chute and instructs Klaus to mix together sticky foodstuff which he pours on the wheels and they went to find their little sister Sunny while she is living with count Olaf and his associates. Count Olaf makes her do their chores like cooking meals, cleaning. Two villains arrive described as the man with the beard but no hair and the woman with hair but no beard gave Olaf the Snicket file without the last page and gave Esme a grey object called Verdant Flammable device. . Sunny uses this device to create smoke which she hopes her siblings will see. Then, Violet and Klaus meet a group of people in a snow scout with Carmellia Spats. They join the scout but on their first night, a scout takes them to the V.F.D headquarters and they realized that it was burnt. They discovered that the scout was Quigley Quagmire and he told that he had survived the fire that had killed his parents and after the fire he went looking for Duncan and Isadora. They also built a pit to trap Esme Squalor like she had pushed them inside the elevator shaft trapping them in a cage at 667 Dark Avenue. Then they all went to look for Sunny and they found her at the top of Mountain Fraught and they got there using Violet’s ice climbing shoes. They tried to get their sister back but her sister had tricked Count Olaf by leaving an eggplant and hiding underneath Olaf’s automobile. Then the snow scouts arrived for false spring and they saw that Carmellia Spats was the False Spring queen. Then Count Olaf kidnapped the Snow Scouts and took them away and the Baudelaires fell on their flat boat on Stricken Stream and they saw that Quigley Quagmire was trying to follow them but he couldn’t.
