Kira-kira by Cynthia Kadohata
It is an amazing book that made me feel like I was watching, or was part of, everything that happened. It helped me to realise that there are people in the world that go through hard times, and now I know how they get through it all, with hope and Kira-kira (glittering) when they think about great glittering and happy moments. I recommend Kira-kira to all people aged 9 and up. It is influential in heaps of ways. If you want a book that will really make you think then read Kira-kira. When I read it I could not get myself to put the book down it was so good! 5 stars.
