Syndetics book coverInnovation the NASA way : harnessing the power of your organization for breakthrough success / Rod Pyle.
“Innovation the NASA Way” by Rod Pyle is an interesting and intriguing read that will keep you turning the pages well into the night. I truly enjoyed the format that Mr. Pyle used when writing this book. Each of the 18 chapters has documented “Challenges’ which Mr. Pyle outlines very well. At the conclusion of each “Challenge,” Mr. Pyle goes on to list the “Solution” to the listed “Challenge.” I loved this format because it allowed me to get into the minds of the great men and women of NASA. The method used to find each solution will fine tune your own way of thinking through problems. I was very impressed with the depth and breadth of this book. A “must read” for anyone who is truly interested in expanding innovation at your work site.” (Amazon reviewer)

Syndetics book coverData crush : how the information tidal wave is driving new business opportunities / Christopher Surdak.Data Crush: How the Information Tidal Wave Is Driving New Business Opportunities
“Mr. Surdak delivers the goods in “Data Crush”. The book is very well organized and walks the reader through the process of understanding where all this “data” is coming from, how it will impact your business, and most importantly how to respond successfully….I particularly love the “Chapter Summary” at the end of each short but concise chapter. Mr. Surdak writes in a very readable style that is engaging even on technical subject like big data…If you are new to the concept of Big Data or a seasoned data scientist this book is worth the read…It you want to get a picture of what the connected world will look like in 2020 Mr. Surdak includes a section in the back of the book that gives three scenarios of what the world of successful business engagement will look like. I really liked how he not only detailed a day in the life of the consumer, but how the technology “could” do it. It’s very believable!” (Amazon reviewer)

Syndetics book coverWork smarts : what CEOs say you need to know to get ahead / Betty Liu.
“This is a really interesting collection of interviews of famous CEOs by Betty. The book is insightful because she skillfully leads the readers into the minds of the CEO’s. What is the secret of success? What are their failures? How do they make decisions? What kind of difficulties do they face and have to deal with? This book allows the readers to see the pain of a leader behind the scene. To me, it is more than just career advice on how to solve day-to-day issues, but also about discovering the inner core of a person and building up the character to meet the challenge. It gets people to start thinking…”Do I really want to be choose this path in my career?” Being a CEO’s is a lonely job.
