Coming soon – easier ways to use your library

Coming soon is an easier way to pay your library fees and fines.  We’ll be  installing more self-service machines in some libraries so you can quickly issue items, pay and go on with the rest of your day. Of course our friendly librarians will be around to help you with any questions.

You will also be able to manage your library card more easily as we’ll be providing a way to pay your fees and fines online with your credit card.  This way they’ll be paid off your account straight away, rather than waiting for your online banking to go through overnight. These changes will be rolling out between now and the end of the year.

In the meantime, if you have an ‘Out of Towner’ card, pop into your local library to replace your library card with a new one with a barcode, so that you can use it on the self-service machines.

If you have a Community Services card or a Gold Card, you’ll find issuing library items more streamlined in coming months as your discounts will be automatically applied.

More updates about these new payment options will be posted in the coming weeks.
