Visiting the library under Red settings

All libraries in the Wellington City Libraries’ network remain open under Red settings of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, with COVID Vaccine Pass and masks required.

To keep everyone safe please:

  • wear a mask unless you have an exemption
  • have your vaccine pass ready for scanning
  • follow any guidance from our staff or signs
  • be kind – library staff are doing their best to offer our full range of services and facilities while managing the required sign in checks.

Our programming is mostly online under Red settings. Please check our Libraries’ event calendar for in-person programming and events as they resume.

The Hive Makerspace at Johnsonville Library in Waitohi is closed for visits. They are still accepting Laser cutter and 3D Printing jobs over email. More details on our Makerspace page.

All library members can continue to access a huge range of online resources via our eLibrary – this includes eBooks, magazines, movies, and online courses.
