We hold long runs (sometimes incomplete) of many design magazines, such as Graphis (from 1968) and Vogue French (from 1949); check the catalogue to see if we have the dates you want. If you are interested in general magazine design or advertising, we have back issues of periodicals such as Time (from 1936) and National Geographic (from 1923).
Art and design periodicals are not well indexed. If you are after an article on a specific subject, check the catalogue to see if the magazine is indexed, try our online resources including Art Index CD-ROM, or ask at Art Music & Literature Enquiries if there are relevant paper indexes available.
