Make sure you check the catalogue - books on different aspects of work such as aptitude and psychometric tests, work and occupation, and vocational guidance have different shelf numbers.

Branches

Small collections of books on careers and jobs can be found using the same Dewey Decimal numbers.

To find out what books we hold and which are out on loan, search the online catalogue. Books which are on loan or at another Wellington City Libraries branch can be placed on reserve for $2.

There are also many other tools available to the Library staff and online that provide access to relevant information contained within more general books and magazines. Please ask staff for assistance at any time.

A good initial search is from the BASIC SEARCH screen. It is best to use either a SUBJECT BROWSE search or KEYWORD search. The searches below will take you directly to the catalogue.

  • JOB STRESS will find you books on how to avoid or reduce stress and avoiding burnout at work.
