Trailer… Thursday? Paper Towns 2nd trailer!

The second trailer for John Green’s Paper Towns came out yesterday, and it looks pretty rad. Ben is wearing the “World’s Best Grandma” tshirt! I reckon the cast look spot on and we are in for a treat. Check out the new trailer below:

And just in case you missed it the first time around, here’s the first trailer as well:

Book cover from SyndeticsIf you want to refresh your memory, you can reserve Paper Towns by clicking on this cover image:

We also have Paper Towns as a CD audiobook, as a BorrowBox ebook and as an Overdrive ebook!

Does Margo look how you imagined she would? Does Q? Which John Green book do you hope gets adapted next? Share your thoughts on the trailers with us in the comments!

Catching Fire trailer!

Is out, and it looks gripping!

Don’t forget to read the book: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.

Two Trailers

As it’s Friday, a diversion is required. First, the trailer for the City of Bones movie (due out in August next year). We were a bit slow out of the starting gates, but here it is in all its splendid glory:

Clary? Simon? Jace? Hopefully you think they are fitting. The official site for the movie is here.

Peter Jackson’s posted an interesting clip about the inner workings of the Hobbit movie making:

If you want to read the book before December 13th, reserve a copy here.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trailer

Let the other games begin!

Breaking Dawn Part 2, in which Bella leaps tall pine trees in a single bound, and in which the big show down between the Cullens and the Volturi finally takes place, has a trailer:

The film is out on November 16th. Read the book to refresh your memory before then! Also, watch Part 1 on DVD (80c on a young adult card).

The Hunger Games Teaser

A one minute Hunger Games teaser trailer was released at the MTV VMAs earlier this week, and this is it:

The forest looks just like I imagined it. Exactly so.

Transformers

There’s a new trailer out for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – you can view it in HD at the official site. It’s about two minutes long and full of robots blowing things up. Cars, bridges, buildings, and even an aircraft carrier; it’s just that fantastic!

We have the first Transformers film on DVD as well, if you need to catch up before the sequel’s release. We also have Transformers : Beast Wars series one and series three.

Ninjas, robots, fast cars

The Superbowl is the championship game for the NFL, which means it’s a bit like the U.S. version of the Rugby World Cup. But with American football, not rugby. It is screened on the telly and about two-thirds of all Americans watch it; it is incredibly popular. Which means that advertisement time is sold at a premium, and many new films show their movie trailers for the first time.

We’re not as interested in the Superbowl (sorry) as we are in the film trailers that premiered on Monday, during Superbowl XLIII. While we can’t embed any of them – they’re not officially on Youtube (I did try!) – they are all available from Quicktime, and include Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, G. I. Joe, Land of the Lost, Star Trek, and The Fast and the Furious 4, among others. Enjoy.

Can’t wait for G. I. Joe, as it has ninjas. <3

Other film trailers to look out for are Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Astroboy, and Dragonball Z: Evolution (in French, but it’s official!)
