Awesome! We've heard lots about Elizabeth Knox, especially The Vintner's Luck and Dreamhunter, but are slightly ashamed to say neither of us have read any of her work. It's going on our (never-ending) list of books to read though!

We're thrilled to have made your day, and that you're a fan of our recommendations!

Your suspicions seem to align with ours, so I guess it's good that we were on the right track. The sudden surge of interest is still a little mysterious but the Project For Awesome explains a little. Also, he did a TED talk recently (which you can watch here) so I suppose all these things add up!

I adore Let It Snow as well, a great holiday read (despite our lack of snow over the New Zealand Christmas)! The interwoven stories work well together, and Lauren Myracle and Maureen Johnson are also fantastic authors - if you haven't checked them out yet, you definitely should! Friends of John Green are friends of ours :-)

Mentioning John Green, who I'm slowly falling in love with, Maggie Stiefvater, who is already the love of my life, Neil Gaiman, who wrote one of my favourite Doctor Who episodes and Epic Detour which still stands as one of my favourite books of all time after two years in one post? Made. My. Day.

*contains excitement*

John Green, I'm not sure about the sudden revolution, but I fully admit that I'm being swept up in the brilliance too. My theory would have to be as TFIOS continues to grow with still more amazing reviews, his recent event at Carnegie Hall, Project for Awesome passed this holidays as well, the higher exposure is causing the revolution. Myself, I was finally convinced to read TFIOS by some friends (I had been reluctant before, cancer and all that, touchy subject with a lot of people and I have also previously read books which have done the whole cancer finding out what their life is about ect. not the best) which was the start of the falling. Without knowing it, I realized that he had a short story in 'Let It Snow' which I had very much enjoyed, and then after the adorable dorkiness of An Abundance of Katherines which appealed to my mathematical side, I am now in free fall and have never been happier. I just hope people don't come out and say that I don't truly love John Green because I didn't read his first book the minute it came out.
