Top 10: Literal Biters

Kym, Children and Youth Services and list-making Specialist, has an interest in books about vampires and werewolves. Here’s her Top 10 young adult fiction titles about people who like biting other people:

  1. Sunshine by Robin McKinley
  2. Blood and chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
  3. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
  4. Companions of the night by Vivian Vande Velde
  5. Thirsty by M. T. Anderson
  6. The Dark-angel by Meredith Ann Pierce
  7. Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
  8. Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith
  9. In the forests of the night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
  10. Skin hunger by Kathleen Duey

Kym also recommends Sweetblood by Pete Hautman (but we don’t have that one), and I thought I’d also add the daddy of all vampire books:

Dracula by Bram Stoker; a bit of a no-brainer, but then, you know, if you’re going to be a student of biters you should probably read this one too.

There you go. Mwah-ha-ha and all that,

Grimm

Twilight should not be in the top 10. Twilight was alright but I have read many a better vampire book. For example, The Night World series by L.J. Smith number 9 in particula. They are good. Thank you for your time.
