SPCA Storytimes in the North

Both Johnsonville and Tawa libraries had a special visit from the SPCA for their storytime sessions this week.

Jennifer and Matt from the SPCA told us all about the good work the SPCA does and how we can care for and look after our own pets. They also shared some stories of animal rescues.

Matt and Jennifer bought along some very special friends for us to meet. Peaches the rabbit, Jessie the guinea pig and a very cute little puppy called Zeus. Zeus was a big hit and lots of people wanted to take him home – especially the librarians.

Check out our pictures.

SPCA Visit to Karori Library

Some friends from the SPCA brought some special guests along to Karori Library preschool storytime this morning.  Children, parents/caregivers and staff were excited to meet Zeus the puppy, and bunnies Peaches and Jessica.  They loved their pats!  We also learnt all about animal care and enjoyed some neat animal stories and songs.  There are still more SPCA storytime sessions to be held and our furry friends would love to see you there!
