Kōhunga Kōrero – monthly storytimes in te reo Māori are starting next week! Head along to the library for 30mins of stories, waiata, rhymes and fun, and it’s all in te reo.
It’s all free, lots of fun, and perfect for 2-6 year olds and their whanau.
The first session is at Miramar Library, 2pm, on Tuesday 27th January.

Preschool storytimes in te reo Māori are on soon at a library near you. Perfect for experiencing and learning te reo, practicing the language or simply snuggling up to hear a good story.
Kōhunga Kōrero is on in the following libraries:
Newtown Library: every 1st Wednesday of each month at 10.30 am
Cummings Park (Ngaio) Library: every 2nd Thursday of each month at 10.15 am
Mervyn Kemp (Tawa) Library: every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 10.30 am
Miramar Library: every 4th Thursday of each month at 10.15 am

Preschool Storytimes in te reo Māori
From February 11th you’ll be able to hear stories read aloud in te Reo Māori at 4 library branches in Wellington. Kōhunga Kōrero will be filled with stories, rhymes, songs and fun, and will be held at Miramar, Newtown, Cummings Park (Ngaio) and Mervyn Kemp (Tawa) Libraries.
