Kids’ Club Review by Aoi: The clue in the diary

The clue in the diaryThe clue in the diary, by Carolyn Keene

This mystery book is about a girl detective who is called Nancy Drew. She solved a case about a exploding fire connected to all mysteries. I thought this book was going to take me long time to read but I read it very quickly because I enjoyed it! What a nice story!

Kids’ Club Review by Josie: Nancy’s mysterious letter

Nancy's mysterious letterNancy’s mysterious letter, by Carolyn Keene

This was my first Nancy Drew book and I liked the fact that this was a girl solving mysteries. It reminded me of Famous Five which I used to enjoy but this was better because it was an older girl. It was a good book that I did want to keep reading to find out what happened but it could have been more gripping and I found that it ended too quickly – the mystery was solved and that was the end of it. I will be reading more Nancy Drew books as they are quite a quick read.

Kids’ Club Review by Miki: The first case

The first caseThe first case, by Ulf Nilsson (1948-)

It shows that sometimes if you suspect someone or something too much you can often get things wrong. And even if you’re the same species it doesn’t mean that you won’t steal from each other.

A complicated caseA complicated case, by Ulf Nilsson (1948-)

This story is about police detectives who are a frog and a cute mouse. I like the cute mouse detective. She is pretty good at solving problems. But I didn’t enjoy the book because it wasn’t a good taste for me. It was a bit hard to understand.

Kids’ Club Review by Molly: A Case in any Case

A Case in any Case, by Ulf Nilsson

A case in any case is about a police chief Buffy who is trying to solve the mystery of the two missing kindergarteners, it does not help that there is a mysterious scrabbler roaming the garden or that former police chief Gorden has retired. Will police chief Buffy find the kindergartners and who is the mysterious scrabbler? I really enjoyed this book because I really like mystery books but I would recommend this book for younger readers.

A Case by Any Case is about two detectives, one of whom is retired, who are trying to solve a case involving two missing kindergarten children. Will they succeed and find the children? This book is suitable for younger children but that said, I really enjoyed it. It is a nice story with good characters, I rated it 5 stars.
