Want to know the most popular children’s books? Well September’s list has some strong favourites.

Roald Dahl had his birthday in September and three of his books reached the Top 10! He would be 101 this year which is a fine age for an author with such a great relationship with words.

Have you met the Oxford Roald Dahl dictionary? This book is a great source of Dahl language, the unique way, jumbly way, some would say frothbuggling way, fresh words can describe something in a way that your brain recognises it instantly.  Or that you can puzzle out from the context.  These words are a great way to engage you with a story and make you feel a part of a different world.
