Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt DaySick of bullying? Yeah, so are we. So let’s stand up to it!

Friday 18th May is Pink Shirt Day – a day for everyone in the world to say that bullying is not OK!

This year Pink Shirt Day is all about POWER: the power to ask for help if you need it, the power to change your behaviour and the power to help someone who is being bullied.

It’s really easy to be involved. Just wear a pink shirt on Friday and tell people that bullying is not cool. Here’s a website and a You Tube clip (even famous New Zealanders were bullied) to tell you all about it.

We have some great books about bullying. Try this one, or this one, or even this one. You can find more by typing ‘bullying’ into our catalogue.
