Karori BookBusters Reviews

The Witches by Roald Dahl

It’s about an orphan boy and he goes on holiday with his grandma but he gets turned into a mouse by a witch!  But he gets them before they turn all the children into mice as well.  It’s characters were the witches, a boy (or mouse) and grandma.  The best part of the story was when the witches got turned into mice and the worst part was when the grand high witch took off her mask.  I think this was written for boys and girls.

Dumb Creatures by Jeanne Willis

I liked this book because it is about a boy called Tom who is unable to speak and likes to visit the zoo.  He meets a gorilla called Zanzi.  Zanzi signs to Tom and they soon get to know eachother by signing.  My favourite character is Zanzi the gorilla.  10/10.
