Elena thought that the Little House in the Big Woods  was a great book.  “It’s all about growing up in the big woods” she explains.

                       

 

 

 

Zita liked Matilda  by Roal Dahl.  “Matilda’s father hates her…  When she was four years old she started going to the library by herself while her mother played bingo, her father was at work, and her brother at school.  Her school teacher is very, very kind and Matilda soon sees how poor she is.”

 

 

 

Shivani reviewed Daisy and the Trouble with Zoos.  “Daisy finds some kittens behind a wall and she spends her holiday money on food for them.”

 

 

 

 

Lauren liked the Magic Kitten series.  “Olivia finds a kitten that is really a magic kitten.  She was going to go to ballet when she found it.”

 

 

 

Samantha enjoys Sue Bentley’s books; “she writes the Magic Kitten series which are about little girls who get to see a magic kitten.”  Bentley is now one of Samantha’s favourite authors.

 

 

 

Amelia reviewed The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.  “It’s about a boy and two girls and a magic tree.  At the top [of the tree] they have adventures  in different lands.”  Amelia’s favourite character is Moon Face.
