To follow up on an earlier hot topics posting on sustainability, here is a local way to get involved. Intersect (young professionals networking for sustainability) was launched recently in Wellington. You are never to be old to be young! The intention is for people to share ideas, develop leadership capabilities and grow networks. Their partners are the Sustainable Business Network and the Sustainability Trust and they are sponsored by Alto Design.
The latest California Management Review celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special issue on “Leading through innovation.” You can read this in hard copy at Central Library or read it online via our mygateway databases. Management focus is a free monthly magazine from Emerald Management First which highlights a selection of content from some of their journals. An archive of previous issues appears at the bottom of the page. It looks interesting.
This newish magazine (launched December 2005) “is a magazine about creative business, innovation, entrepreneurship and creating wealth from ideas”. The founders and writers have a great pedigree and have previously been associated with such publications as Computerworld, Urbis, Unlimited and NZ Pc World.
