Extra Special Booksale starts Tuesday

Booksalesep16aThousands of avid readers love the Central Library book sales. Judging by their past popularity, this “extra special” non-fiction book sale should be no different. Past buyers have used the sale to find the best book deals to add to their personal collections or just to rummage and find a reference gem. And the sale helps our libraries by making room for an ever increasing collection. The major highlight of this sale is the concentration on a great range of non-fiction. As at each previous sale, stock is replenished at regular intervals – ensuring there are always fresh bargains to be found. And they really are bargains in this extra special sale – prices are $2 per book, including songbooks – though some of the latter are individually priced.

If you love a bargain, you won’t want to miss it. The book sale starts Tuesday 27 September at 9.30am, Central Library.

  1. Hello. Thanks for the notice about the booksale- I would have loved to have been there when it opened but have only just received the email from the library! (It is 3pm 29 Sept. and the booksale was due to start 27 Sept!) Do you think we could receive the newsletters in a timely manner otherwise it is hardly worth putting items in the newsletter after the event has started.

  2. I received this email 29 Sept. The message says the book sale will be 27 Sept. Is the date incorrect or did the email go out after the book sale had happened?

  3. Kia ora Mary and Linda, we’re sorry you didn’t hear about the book sale sooner. As you can see, we created this post on September 22nd, and it has been linked from our website homepage, as well as on our social media profiles. In the future, if you would like to receive notifications of new blog posts automatically by email, please contact us at enquiries@wcl.govt.nz and we can help you set this up.
