Gamesfest – It’s just become even better!

Every Wednesday it’s Gamesfest at the Central Library. From 5.30pm, on the ground floor, we provide a generous selection of board games that anyone can use.

If you have been coming along, you will be pleased to learn that we’ve just purchased a LOT more games for you to play with. Here are our new additions, all so brand new they’re still sealed!

We already offer chess, Scrabble, Settlers, and many other favourites. With these winter nights, what could be more fun that some friendly competitive rivalry with your friends? All welcome!

What time are you open until on a Wednesday night?
What are the ages covered for the games in the photo?
Are we able to sign games out like the library books?

2. wclstaff - July 28, 2015

Thanks for your questions! The Central Library is open until 8.30pm on Wednesday nights and the games are aimed at 8 years and over. Currently the games we have can only be played at the library – but thanks for your interest in whether they can be borrowed as well.

Hi . Do you have many adults playing or is this aimed mainly at the school – college age?

4. wclstaff - August 25, 2015

Hi Rex, it’s actually mostly adults attending Gamesfest evenings, but school-college age students are very welcome too!
