Wellington author Pat Rosier has died

Syndetics book coverThe Wellington activist, feminist, novelist and non-fiction writer Pat Rosier has died aged 72. Although born in Auckland, in later life she has lived in Paekakariki and been a regular user of our Central Library. She started work as a primary school teacher, later became editor of the New Zealand feminist magazine Broadsheet. She worked also as an organisational consultant and an editor. Her first novel titled Poppy’s Progress was published in 2002, before this she had written several books of non-fiction, including the Broadsheet: twenty years of Broadsheet magazine. Her third novel titled Take it Easy was published in 2008.  Her last published writing in print was  Where the HeArt Is after an initial ebook publication the year before.
