Nau mai, haere mai. Did you know that we are celebrating Matariki over the next three weeks?
First up, help us celebrate Matariki at our special storytelling session. Come along tomorrow (Saturday) from 2 – 3pm to hear traditional and original stories read by Apirana Taylor – including stories about Matariki.
The session is being held in the children’s story area on the ground floor of the Central Library. All tamariki welcome, and your whānau & friends.
Next Saturday, 16 June, in celebrating Matariki & Puanga, we have Tipua Reedy who will show tamariki ancient ways of wayfinding without instruments – with a hands-on experience of the star compass. This event will be at Central Library also – from 2-3.30pm.
