This week’s Law for Lunch: Employment rights, Employment wrongs

Come along to Law for Lunch at the Central Library this Wednesday from 12-1pm for accurate information about your rights at work.


Wednesday 13 March : Employment rights, employment wrongs; know your rights at work

Our speaker this week will be Joss Opie, an Employment lawyer with Buddle Findlay. Joss specialises in employment relations, alternative dispute resolution and public and human rights law.

Included will be:

  • Important rules when applying for a job
  • Employment agreements
  • Holidays and leave
  • Pay, deductions and PAYE
  • Disciplinary issues, employer’s obligations
  • Redundancy and entitlements
  • Resolving problems and personal grievances
  • Where can you get advice?

This session is a perfect opportunity to ask your questions and get the information you need for a better understanding of the law.

This mini-seminar will take place on Wednesday, 14 March 2012, from 12 noon to 1pm, on the Ground Floor of the Central Library.
