Central Library is turning 20!

balloonsOn Saturday 10th December, come and celebrate 20 years of library service from the Central Library at 65 Victoria Street. There will be lots of fun events and activities including:

  • Free issues* of DVDs and CDs all day Saturday at Central Library
  • Backroom tours by our local history team
  • A fun children’s treasure hunt for the 0 -15 year olds
  • Free cake for customers

Other events to celebrate :

  • On Tuesday 13 December: an architecture talk by Sir Ian Athfield, the architect of Central Library
  • An online quiz : some lucky library members will win a range of prizes including restaurant vouchers
  • Film clips:  famous Wellingtonians tell us about their favourite books

  1. Congratulations to the team at WCL on the 20th anniversary. Thank you for the great service and wonderful collections of book, DVDs and other resources.
