We have a few documentaries for you this month at Wellington City Libraries. First Up the Yangtze relates the journey of a Chinese-Canadian filmmaker on the ‘Main Street’ of China. My Winnipeg is Guy Maddin’s very own view of the little Canadian town. Trumbo is a documentary about Dalton Trumbo’s era brought back to life thanks to letters narrated by famous actors. Our selection also includes the first series of Darling Buds of May, the detective story Jar City, the drama Doubt and scary Whitechapel.
