Review The Velvet Underground @ Music Ad Lib
“Music Ad Lib“, hosted by our own library staff music enthusiasts, will air on Saturday the 18th of April at 4.30pm on Access Radio 783AM. This month we will be delving into the dim and distant past to one of the most influential bands of the 20th century, The Velvet Underground. The band was formed in New York City in 1965, and lasted just five years and four albums. It was almost unknown outside of underground music circles until interest in the band’s music mushroomed throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The Velvet Underground continues to be discovered and loved by discerning music fans in each succeeding generation and our radio show will be concentrating on some of their lesser known material.
